Description
Develop and implement standard operational standards to maintain vehicles by advocating best practices
• Plan and prepare annual budget and expenditures
• Tracking and diagnostics of vehicles (Advise the Directors on vehicle replacement and purchasing policies, displaying a sound knowledge of new vehicle types and vehicle related products)
• Driver management (follow up of mission allowances to allocate to drivers; follow technicians issues with their drivers and investigate when necessary)
• Fleet security (Deal with all aspects of the company’s obligations to the Department of Transport including vehicle annual tests, record keeping and fleet inspections).
• Fleet replacement and maintenance (Plan and organise the maintenance of all company vehicles, ensuring that service and inspection intervals are adhered to)
• Compliance of Government regulations (Deal with all aspects of the company’s obligations to the Department of Transport including vehicle annual tests, record keeping and fleet inspections).
• Make recommendations that would improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the garage operation.
• Provides the Superintendent of Maintenance with information on any infractions of HRM policies and OHS violations so the necessary action can be taken.
• Generates detailed records and reports as required (such as car accident report)
• Must have a strong sense of customer service and satisfaction for both internal and external customers.
• Liaise with Operations on the status of equipment.
• Must support Fleet Maintenance Agency with overtime when required. Inspection of tendered equipment to make sure specifications are met.
• Monitor and review of Attendance Management Program.
• Review bills and contracts with Fleet Maintenance Agencies.
• Oversee and coordinate building maintenance issues (Equipment inspections, annual equipment certification, safety related repairs and day to day repairs.)
• Raise Queries against staff who fail to provide requested explanation for vehicle misuse (and officially notify the HRM).
• Follow maintenance schedles and track vehicle repaires, Batteries, Tyres, etc.
• To track vehicles via GPS an report, using GPS on vehicle movement reports.
• Provide reports to management on weekly bases
• Commitment to the company as there shall be out of hours and unsociable hours for the need to solve vehicle issues of operational needs.
• Align with the Administration regarding accident declaration to the Insurance Company

Monitoring of audit reports on internal control
• Work with all departments of the company for the rapid implementation of audit recommendations.
• Implement periodic testing to ensure the tightness of controlled implemented.

• Cover any specific requests from the hierarchy.
