MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gather information with clear direction to support the drafting of documents and preparing reports by other staff.).
Take responsibility for data integrity to facilitate availability of accurate information in corporate systems.
Provide guidance on routine business support methods and practices to junior colleagues to ensure services are delivered consistently and to the required standards.
Work with a variety of individuals, taking on feedback where appropriate to assist in business support delivery for staff.
Collect, compile, and analyze logistics data and ensure accuracy in corporate systems to support informed decision‑making.
Monitor the receipt and dispatch of commodities, ensuring accurate stock counts, quality control, and compliance with customs and operational documentation.
Support in the issuance of transport waybills and any other accounting or logistics documents from other functional units
Conduct regular physical stock counts and maintain accurate warehouse records in WFP’s corporate logistics systems.
Ensure stock integrity, pest control, and fumigation programs to prevent losses and ensure compliance with FSQA guidelines.
Perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
· Completion of secondary school education.
· A post-secondary certificate in logistics, supply chain management, or warehouse operations is desirable
· Additional training in transport management, or food safety standards is an advantage.
Experience:
· At least 4 years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, or supply chain operations.
· Experience working with humanitarian organizations, UN agencies, or international NGOs is highly desirable.
Experience in Port and Corridor Operations
Experience in commercial Logistics sector
· Experience in Digital Data management.
· Experience using inventory management systems for tracking food and non-food items.
Experience working with corporate systems (databases, software)
Experience working in a demanding operational environment
Desirable Knowledge & Skills:
· Strong computer literacy, including Excel, warehouse database tools, and reporting software.
· Understanding of climate-controlled storage, warehouse security protocols, and fleet coordination.
· Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations applicable to humanitarian operations
Languages:
· Fluency (level C) in French language
· Intermediate or advanced knowledge of English (level B or C)
